• Both indices recorded positive gains with the market turnover crossing the Rs.1bn mark. Several crossings were observed in Lion Breweries which accounted for 40% of the day's turnover. Activity in the speculative counters remained at relatively higher levels while JKH ended Rs.3.50 up for the day.
• All Share Price Index gained by 0.44% to close at 5308.51 while the liquid Milanka Price Index gained by 1.13% to end the day at 4600.63.
• Volumes decreased by 58.7% to 39mn, whilst turnover decreased by 49.1% to Rs.1.1bn.
• The gainers list was led by S M B Leasing [X] and Merc. Shipping while Keells Food and Agstarfertilizer led the Losers.
• Lion Brewery topped the turnover list with Rs.439m to the day's turnover whilst Asiri Surg dominated the volume list with 6m shares.
• A total of Rs.75mn net FII inflow was witnessed for the day.
