- Market picked up with marked increase in activity levels of banking sector counters on the
expectation of reduced taxation for banks in the up coming budget.

All Share Price Index gained by 0.82% to close at 3832.30 while the liquid Milanka Price Index
gained by 0.97% to end the day at 4428.06.

Volumes decreased by 47% to 28m, whilst turnover increased by 74% to Rs.1.2Bn.

The gainers list was led by Singalanka and CFI while Alufab and Sathosa Motors led the
Losers.

DFCC Bank topped the turnover list with Rs.171m to the day's turnover whilst Hotel Services
dominated the volume list with 4m shares.

A total of Rs.108m net FII outflow was witnessed for the day.
