- Market indices recorded marginal gains with investor interest in large cap counters and
investment trust counters.

All Share Price Index gained by 0.28% to close at 3835.06 while the liquid Milanka Price Index
gained by 0.14% to end the day at 4393.89.
-
Volumes decreased by 7% to 27m, whilst turnover decreased by 23% to Rs.838m.
-
The gainers list was led by Coco Lanka (X) and Hapugastenne while Seylan Merchant (X) and
Lake House Printers led the Losers.

Chevron topped the turnover list with Rs.95m to the day's turnover whilst Sierra Cables
dominated the volume list with 5m shares.
-
A total of Rs.16m net FII inflow was witnessed for the day.

| Government Securities Market and Liquidity (08 Mar 10) |
- Interest continued increase as expected with the increase in inflation and treasury
bill rates. Moderate volumes for the day was observed with improved buying
interest in short term securities.
