Market picked up sharply ahead of the positive political improvement with strong buying interest as stocks gained across the board while large number of crossings in JKH amounting
to 4.6m shares boosted turnover for the day.

All Share Price Index gained by 1.32% to close at 5962.62 while the liquid Milanka Price Index gained by 1.97% to end the day at 6152.93.

Volumes decreased by 6% to 86m, whilst turnover decreased by 18.6% to Rs.4.8Bn.

The gainers list was led by Alliance and Lankem Dev. while Durdans and Durdans [X] led the Losers.

JKH topped the turnover list with Rs.1.4Bn to the day's turnover whilst S M B Leasing dominated the volume list with 20m shares.

A total of Rs.416m net FII inflow was witnessed for the day.
